JACKIE EUGENE COLEMAN, age 85, of rural Bertrand, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 12, 1936, in Mississippi County, MO, one of eight children to the late Jack Edward Coleman and Ola Mae Meeks Coleman.  He had lived Houston, TX for over 45 years where he was employed as a truck driver. He and his wife returned to Mississippi County in 2002.

On November 13, 1957, he married Doris Ann Knupp, who survives of the home.

Surviving are his grandchildren, Angela Reynette Copeland, Joseph Benjamin Ryan Horkman, Madison Danielle Coleman and Brianna Diaz Horn; his great grandson, Huntson; two brothers, Kenneth Lee Coleman and James Ronald Coleman; as well as a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Eugene Coleman, his daughter, Pamela Diane Coleman, his sisters, Dorothy, Loyce, Judy and Sheila and his brothers, Donald and Jerry.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  His niece, Shiela Groves, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
