Jackie Sue Davis Powell, age 73, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at her home in Charleston.

Jackie was born January 15, 1951, at Sikeston, MO, to the late George Cecil Davis and Ocie Marie Holt Davis and was a proud 1969 graduate of Sikeston High School.   Jackie loved children and gave her life caring for them and helping parents as she operated Powell's Day Care for a number of years.    She loved fishing.   Jackie was of Baptist belief.

On September 25, 1971, she married Larry Ray Powell, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her sons, Larry (Laura) Powell, Jr. and Joshua (Amanda) Powell all of East Prairie, her grandchildren, Hunter, Vivian, Seth, Carson and Addyson. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a number of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Davis, Danny Davis and Bill Davis and her sister, Betty Davis King.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon, Friday, April 26, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, at the chapel of the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.  David Manker will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
