JACOB TYLER WILKERSON, Age 29, a resident of Bertrand, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, near Poplar Bluff, MO.



Born September 9, 1987, at Sikeston, MO, to Derrick Blaine Wilkerson of Bertrand and Melissa Dawn Kohlbaker Coots who also survives of Bertrand, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and was employed with Carr Textile in Sikeston. He had attended the Lighthouse Church in Dexter.



Surviving besides his father and mother are his step father, Keith Dewayne Coots of Bertrand; one daughter, Briella Nichole Wilkerson of Bertrand; one brother, Dalton Dewayne Coots of Bertrand; two sisters, Shelby Wilkerson and Tara Skurat both of Cape Girardeau; his maternal grandmother, Peggy Stiritz Kohlbaker of Bertrand; paternal grandparents, Grace Delk Wilkerson of Bertrand and Dewayne and Sharon Casteel Coots of Charleston; also a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his loving companion and mother of his daughter, Jacqueline Lenderman; his maternal grandfather, The Rev. Charles Kohlbaker and his paternal grandfather, Billy Joe Wilkerson.



The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time for the memorial services at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. His uncle, the Rev. Mike Kohlbaker and longtime family friend, Rev. Tim Russell, will officiate.



Honorary pallbearers will be: Dalton Coots, Lorenzo Ware, Joey Dorris, Austin Vanover, Rick Wilson and Richard Forbey.
