JAKE GRAHAM
CARROLL DAVID 'JAKE' GRAHAM, 77, of Charleston, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born February 11, 1941, at Charleston, MO, to the late Joseph Claud "Toots" Graham and Veda Mae Peevyhouse Graham, he had lived in Charleston his entire life and had been employed in construction work prior to going to work in the maintenance department at Noranda where he was employed for over 30 years. He was a member of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church. He enjoyed John Wayne movies and hunting
On February 2, 1961, he married Jessie Ann Thurman, who preceded him in death November 19, 2009.
Surviving is one son, Michael Howard Meeks of Charleston; one daughter, Retha Ann (David) Cohen of Charleston; six brothers, Ronnie Graham of Miner, Larry Graham of St. Peters, Steve Graham of St. Ann, Wayne Graham of Charleston, Jimmy Graham of Wyatt and Danny Graham of Scott City; three sisters, Peggy Thurman of Miner, Betty Keener of Charleston and Carla Groves of Benton; 8 grandchildren, Layla Moody, Jennifer Singleton, Jeannie Brewer, Matthew Dorris, Marshall Meeks, Michael Lee Meeks, David Meeks and Michael Dale Meeks; also a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David Lee Graham and Marshall Dale Meeks; one daughter, Joyce Ellen Thurman, one brother, Stanley Ray Graham; two sisters, Bonnie McClendon and Debra Lynn Cohen; one grandson, Marshall Dale Meeks, Jr.; and one great grandson, Clayton Levi Meeks.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church in Diehlstadt. DeWayne Kirkpatrick, pastor, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Ty Meeks, Matthew Dorris, Michael Lee Meeks, David Earl Meeks, Josh Jones and Layla Moody.
