James Joseph Bailey

JAMES JOSEPH BAILEY, 69, died Sunday, February 7, 2021, at his home in East Prairie.

He was born July 30, 1951, at Algonac, MI, to the late Robert and Ilean Carucci Bailey, he eventually moved to East Prairie, MO.

James landed in the welding profession, but he didn't limit himself too just that. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, auto mechanics and he was an avid gardener. James enjoyed Cardinals baseball, but not watching it, instead listening to it on the radio so avoid seeing the bad calls that were being made.

On August 20, 1976, he married Deborah Chanley, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his children, James Bailey Jr of East Prairie, MO; Deborah Inez Bailey of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Lynda Brack of East Prairie, MO; five grandchildren, Austin, Sierra, Madeline, Spencer and Samantha; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert M. Bailey Jr of Arkansas and Richard M. Bailey of East Prairie, MO; three sisters, Debra Hudlin of Oklahoma; Sherry Stewart of Indiana; and Pamela Waldo of Benton, MO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Penny Bailey and one brother, David Bailey.

Private services will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
