IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Louis
Grisso
May 30, 1950 – June 27, 2025
A Tribute to a Remarkable Life.
James Louis Grisso was a cherished soul who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His presence was one of unwavering kindness, laughter, and love…a light that could brighten even the darkest of days.
He was born May 30, 1950, and on June 27, 2025, he made his heavenly flight to be with his Heavenly Father and his parents, Lester "Jack" Grisso and Elizabeth (Hart) Grisso, his siblings, Keith Grisso, Mary Beth Nall, Lester Grisso and his grandson James Louis Grisso, III.
As a young man he served his Country as a United States Marine where he fought in the Vietnam War. Shortly after his return home he married his wife, Charlene (McMillen) Thurman on September 15, 1972.
They have three kids, Dennis (Angela) Thurman, Chrissy (Armando) Aguayo, and James Grisso, Jr.
He was the proudest grandpa to his eight grandkids- Tyler, Sam, Allie, Zach (Z.W.), Cody, Zandon, Olivia and Emma. Decades later he was blessed with his five great-grandkids that chose to call him Poppy- Leksy, Gabby, Alania, Memphis and Linken.
He loved hanging out with his family sitting on the porch talking for hours, playing phase 10, tic tac toe, ring toss, usually if they asked, he would play!
He was a man of great faith and served the Lord for most of his life. He was a supporter of the Bertrand Church of God of Prophecy. If he were able, he would encourage you to have a relationship with God and let him use you for His glory.
He leaves behind his wife, children, grandkids, great grandkids, his surviving siblings, Jackie Gish, Kathryn (Ron) Hubbard, Carla Grisso, and Terry (Tina) Grisso and a multitude of family and friends.
Everyone that knew him would agree that he was one of the best men they have ever known and that he was always helping others and expected nothing in return.
He will forever be in our hearts.
