James Alfred Haw, PhD, 71, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at home in Ft. Wayne, IN
Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, to the the son of Charleston attorney, the late James Moore Haw, Jr. and his wife, Wanda Mary Milkowski Haw, James received his doctorate from the University of Virginia in 1972. He was a Professor of American history from the colonial era to the Civil War, with Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne for 39 years.
Surviving are many cousins.
Family and friends may assemble for graveside services at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston, MO. The Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
