JAMES ERIC HIGDON, age 82, died Sunday, August 1, 2021, at his home in Sikeston.

He was born August 31, 1938, at Essex, MO, to the late Clay Higdon and Delfia Cooper Higdon.  James lived in the Sikeston area his entire life and farmed the family farm until he retired. He was a member of the Potter's House Church in Sikeston.

Surviving is his brother, Jerry Higdon of Sikeston, as well as two nieces and three nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Higdon, Franklin Higdon and John Higdon and his sisters, Willie Christine Hidgon, Inez Nolen, Katherine Hidgon and Ann Higdon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.   John Givens, pastor of the Potter's House Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the New Morley Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
