JAMES JUNIOR "J.J." GALEMORE, age 82, formerly of Charleston and Bloomfield, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at his residence in Sikeston.
He was born January 6, 1928 in Corning, AR to the late L.E. and Daisy Goodman Galemore. Following his graduation from Diehlstadt High School he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon discharge from the Army, he owned and operated Galemore Grocery Store in Charleston. In the early sixties he moved to Bertrand and began purchasing and re-selling new and used farm machinery. Since 2000 he has owned and operated JJ's Auto sales south of Sikeston. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and a 57 year Master Mason of the Charleston Masonic Lodge #407 AF & AM.
He had been married Dorothy "Dottie" Moulder Timmerman who survives of Sikeston.
Surviving are two daughters and one son in law, Carolyn and William Eaton and Jamie Galemore all of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Stacy (Sean) Sederwall of Camdenton, James Grogan of Sikeston, and Renee Feezor of East Prairie; seven great grandchildren, Skylar Sederwall and Sterling Sederwall both of Camdenton, Emily Grogan of Sikeston, Joshua Williams, Jessica Gephart of East Prairie and Mattie Feezor and Saylor Feezor both of Charleston; one great great granddaughter, Mya Gephart of East Prairie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Milton Grogan Jr.; two brothers, L.E. Galemore and Joe Galemore; and one sister, Estalee Mulcahy.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Kevin Eskew, Pastor of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, and Leslie Lindy of Cape Girardeau will officiate.
Private family interment will be held at IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
