Obituary
JAMES LEMUEL JOHNSON, Age 49, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his home in Charleston.
Born June 25, 1962, at Wyatt, MO to Anita Katherine Palmer Johnson who survives of East Prairie, and the late Bobby Gene Johnson, he returned to Charleston a few years ago and had been employed in construction work. He was of the Assembly of God Belief.
Surviving besides his mother is: one brother, Frankie Gene Johnson of Charleston; five sisters, Donna Kay Oliphant of East Prairie; Carol Jean Rodgers of Charleston; Laura Ann Haney of East Prairie; Melinda Katherine Thurman of Torbert, LA and Lisa Loren Staggs of Royalton, IL; also a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until time for the memorial service at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston. Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor, will officiate.
Private interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
