Miller
August 3, 1941 – March 8, 2022
James Arlen Miller, Sr., age 80, a resident of Crestwood, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior, early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022, at his home.
Jim was born August 3, 1941 in Dogwood, MO to the late Arch Albert Miller and Willie Francis (Ward) Miller. He attended Dogwood school, then East Prairie High, graduating as Salutatorian.
On July 8, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Vicki Sue Welch, of Charleston, MO. He began work at Brown Shoe Company and started working as office manager in Ironton, MO. He became a traveling auditor, covering Southern Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee. In 1985, Jim and Vicki moved to Crestwood, where he began working full time as an auditor in Clayton.
Jim is survived by his wife, Vicki; his brother, Larry Miller of Bertrand; his son, James Arlen Miller, Jr. of Wylie, Texas; and his daughter, Jennifer Lynne (Miller) May of Ankeny, Iowa, three granddaughters, Sarah, Jamie, and Samantha, and one grandson, Andrew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Mattingly.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
