James Burette Seabaugh, Sr.

James Burette Seabaugh, Sr., age 84, died Sunday, February 22, 2026, at his home near Sikeston, MO.

Born September 1, 1941, at St. Louis, MO, to the late Burette Walker Seabaugh and Wilma Rose Rossi Seabaugh, he had lived in the Sikeston area most of his life and was a graduate of Gray Ridge High School. For over 20 years he was employed with BMU in Sikeston until his retirement in 2001. He loved gardening, baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan.

Surviving are his children, Steve (Kathy) Seabaugh, Katina (Travis) Skriver and Matt (Angie) Seabaugh; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; his sister, Mildred Ruth Seabaugh, also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, James Burette “Jimmy” Seabaugh, Jr., and Timothy Wayne Seabaugh; and his brothers, Joseph Walter Seabaugh, Jesse Dayton Seabaugh, John Franklin Seabaugh, Sr., Jackie Ray Seabaugh and David Odis Seabaugh.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Rev. Austin Maxwell will officiate.

Interment will be private.
