James Earl Stinnett, III, age 47, died Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home in Sikeston.
Born March 10, 1977, at Sikeston, MO, to the late James Earl Stinnett, Jr. and Georgeanna Henson, he had lived in Charleston and Sikeston area his entire life.
Surviving is his wife, Brandy Skelton Stinnett, of the home.
Also surviving are his children, Dallas Nicole Stinnett, Ryan James Stinnett, Dylan Skelton, Madison Shoemaker and Heidi Krauss; his paternal grandmother, Ruth Diane McIlroy Stinnett; also, several cousins and other relatives.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Steve Middleton; and his grandparents, James Earl Stinnett, Sr., George Robert Henson and Syvella Marie McTigue Henson.
From his family: "James always said he wished to be cremated, and his ashes spread in the river. If anyone knew James, they knew he was one with nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and kids. For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to James' family to assist with any expenses. The family did not expect this tragic nightmare to happen and definitely was not prepared for this as most are not. Thank you to all."
The family will gather at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at the New Madrid Boat Ramp to bid farewell by scattering his ashes.
McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
