James Ray Washburn, Jr., age 59, died Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home near Sikeston, Mo.

Born July 8, 1966, at Sikeston, MO, to the late James Ray Washburn and Edwina Farris Washburn, he had was a 1984 graduate of Sikeston High School and had lived in Sikeston his entire life.  For a number of years, he was employed as a fabricator with Kelpro of Sikeston.   He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and camp, especially by the river.

Surviving is his sister, Dianne Johnson of Sikeston; his nephew, Travis (Kali) Hasty of Sikeston; his nieces, Shelly Hasty of Sikeston; as well as a number of great nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Sue Washburn.

Private family services will be held.
