Obituary
JAMES EDWARD WATERS, Age 79, died Thursday, January 05, 2017, at his home near Bertrand.
Born May 4, 1937, in Mississippi, to the late Jess and Alice Sarah Northern Waters, he had lived in the Bertrand area a number of years and had been employed in farming.
On September 13, 1960, he married Rachel Annette Reynolds, who survives of the home.
Also surviving is one son, Larry J. Waters of Leachville, AR; one daughter, Lora Annette Waters of Bertrand; one brother, Robert Waters of Campbell, MO; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter on the way. Also, a number of nephews and nieces survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Waters; one brother and 8 sisters.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00, Saturday, January 7, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Private burial will follow at Armer Cemetery at a later date.
