Obituary
JAMES PATRICK WEEKS, age 76, a resident of East Prairie, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Bertrand Nursing Center.
He was born July 1, 1941 in East Prairie where he was a 1959 graduate of East Prairie High School. Following his graduation, he left East Prairie to work and travel. By working various jobs he was able to travel extensively until returning to East Prairie in 2011.
Surviving are two daughters, Jama Metcalf of Nashville, TN and Lara Jo Sullivan of Tamms, IL; his step father, Howard Benson of Sikeston; two sisters, Nancy Gamble and Mary Moore both of East Prairie; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dola Cantrell Benson.
Family and Friends will assemble at Oak Grove Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2017 for Graveside Services. Martin Lucas of East Prairie will officiate.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
