James Arthur Williams, age 79, passed way Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his home in East Prairie.
Born March 23, 1945, at Dorena, MO, to the late Fred Chilas Williams and Hazel Faye McMillian Williams, he had lived in East Prairie his entire life and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. James was retired from Alan Wire at Sikeston.
On May 29, 1970, at the Wolf Island Baptist Church, he married Linda Ann Brewer, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are his two daughters, Keisha (Cody) Archie and Jamie (Keith Lee) McCutchen both of East Prairie; five grandchildren, Jalyn, Reagen and Will Jarvis and Ava Lee and Lincoln McCutchen all of East Prairie; one sister, Joyce Goyco of Dexter; and a several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Williams and three sisters, Mildred Tanksley, Sue Mitchell and Artie Mansfield.
The family will receive from 11:00 a.m. until Noon, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Graveside services with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m., at the Dogwood Cemetery. Stanley Triplett will officiate.
Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
