Obituary
JAMES ELLIS WILMURTH, Age 50, formerly of East Prairie, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at his home in Charleston.
Born August 14, 1962, at St. George, Bermuda, to the late Billy Woodrow and Alberta Novola "Bert" Bowen Wilmurth, he was a 1980 Graduate of East Prairie High School. He had been employed as a commercial truck driver until ill health forced his retirement. He returned to Mississippi County in 2007 and had attended the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Surviving are: one son, Yoshiyuki Wilmurth of Japan; two brothers and two sisters in law: Duane Lee and Janet Wilmurth of St. Louis and Calvin Eugene and Terri K. Wilmurth of Charleston; one nephew, Duane Lee Wilmurth, Jr.; four nieces, Ashley Wilmurth, Christina Wilmurth, Daisy Kay Wilmurth and Audrey Novola Wilmurth.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Bro. Buddy Hannah of East Prairie will officiate.
Cremation will follow.
