JAMES DAVID YANCY, 62, a resident of Sikeston, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 1, 1956, in Scott County, MO, to the late Oral D. Yancy and Ethyl Jaynne Waters Yancy, he had lived in Scott County his entire life and had been employed as a commercial truck driver for over 38 years, most recently with Faith Global Transportation. He had attended the Blodgett Baptist Church.
On August 14, 1999, he married Barbara Jean Harper, who survives of the home in Sikeston.
Also surviving is one daughter, Patricia Yvonne Boswell; one brother, John Howard Yancy; one sister, Janeene Cunningham; three grandchildren and also nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Keith Yancy.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Blodgett Baptist Church.
Interment will be at the Harper Cemetery near Maynard, AR at a later date.
