JANE MARION GRANT STEVENER, age 97, a resident of Sikeston, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

She was born August 17, 1924, at Alliance, OH, to the late Fred Grant and May Jewell Grant.   Jane was a registered nurse, specializing in OBGYN Care for Women at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood then went into private practice with Dr. Duemler, where she remained until her retirement at age 70.  Jane was an avid bridge player, a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to follow the wrestling teams coached by her son Marc. Jane was kind, generous and caring and never expected anything in return.

Surviving are her children, Janie (Jim) Beiter of St. Louis; Judy (Angelo) Luebbers of Bowling Green, MO; and Marc (Beverly) Stevener of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Renee (John) Benson, Michelle Ohlsen, Matthew (Julie) Luebbers and Heather (Ethan Vasquez) Stevener; also, seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Grant Bair.

The family will have private services and burial.
