JANET LEE WHITE McMILLAN, age 64, a resident of Sikeston, ran into the arms of Jesus at 4:05 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019.
Born August 13, 1954, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Amiel James Powell and Mary Martha McCormick Powell, she grew up in Charleston and was a member of the original Elm Street Baptist Church. She had lived in Sikeston a number of years and attended the Life Church. For over 35 years, she worked in home health care and since 2006 had been employed with Extended Home Care becoming a supervisor.
On April 16, 1976, she married Michael Eugene McMillan, who survives.
Also surviving are her brothers, Larry (Carolyn) Lynn of Erwin, NC and Jim (Becky) Powell of Charleston; her sisters, Karen Stallings of Sikeston and Mary (Ricky) Vaughn of Matthews; nephews, AJ Powell of Nashville, TN and Anthony "Tony" Stallings of Sikeston; her great niece, Kadie Stallings; her dear friends, Eric and Virginia Walker of Bernie and their boys who were Janet and Mike's godchildren, Quinton Page Walker, Edwin Matthew Walker, Brandon Scott Walker and Jon Christian Walker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Jepsen and her nephew, Shannon Mascia.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time for memorial services at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. David Craig, will officiate.
Private interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
