Janice Lewis, age 60, a resident of Charleston, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at her residence in rural Charleston Missouri.
Born on September 6, 1951, in Sikeston Missouri, to Harvey and Dessie Edwards, she lived in Southeast Missouri her entire life where she worked as a waitress until her retirement. On January 6, 1986 she married John Lewis who survives of the home.
Surviving are nine children, Angie Edwards of Vidor Texas, Pam Johnson of Anniston Missouri, Janice Johnson of Sikeston Missouri, Margret Johnson of Sikeston Missouri, Robert Johnson of Sikeston Missouri, Brian Johnson of Sikeston Missouri, Richard Johnson of Kennett Missouri, John Lewis of Du Quoin Illinois, Sherri Lee Warren of Virginia, fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Two sisters, Judith Lewis and Willma Davis preceded her in death.
A private family services will be held at a later date.
