Janice Carol Sloan, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at Delta South Nursing Center in Sikeston.  She was born July 7, 1947 in Sikeston to the late Carl and Marcella (Gross) Holifield.

A resident of this area most of her life, she was a homemaker and had attended the Compassion Church.

She is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter-in-law:  Jimmy & Angelia Sloan of Sikeston and Chris Sloan also of Sikeston; and 1 sister, Lisa Craig of Columbia.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Brooke Rodgers, Josh Clay, Blake Sloan, Courtney Sloan, and Destiney Sloan; and 9 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Lori Sloan, and by 1 brother and 1 sister.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, from 4:00 pm until time for services at 6:00 pm.  Rev. Frank Worthington, pastor of Compassion Church will officiate.
