Jean Carolyn McCoy

Jean Carolyn McCoy, age 68, died Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at her home near Sikeston, MO.

Born July 28, 1958, at Fordyce, Arkansas, to the late Gene Golden and Martha Green Gardner, she was a graduate of Richland High School in Essex, MO and had lived in the Sikeston area most of her life.

On September 29, 1978, she married Abner Wayne McCoy, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her children, Allen (Mandy) McCoy of Dexter, MO; Stephanie (Mika) Evans of Bartlesville, OK; Rebecca McCoy, Sikeston, MO and Derrick McCoy of Fountain, CO; 16 grandchildren,  Michelle, Eric, Bryston, Brayden, Brooklyn, Nathaniel, Achilles, Legend, Elijah, Noah, Austin, Charlotte, Carter, Conner, Wyatt, and Nova; her sister, Linda Byrd of Naylor, MO; her brother, Aaron David (Lisa) Golden of Naylor, MO, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Gardner, Jr., her brother, Jerry Golden; an infant sister, Shirley Golden and sister, Dianna Hudson.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon, Friday, August 21, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Morley under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
