Obituary

JEANETTE SCOTT HOLT, age 91, a resident of Charleston died Sunday morning, July 1, 2012, at the Charleston Manor.

She was born December 16, 1920 in Russellville, AR to the late Bleve and Ruth Thelma Morphis Scott. She moved to Missouri in 1932 and lived in New Madrid and Mississippi Counties until moving to Hartford, MI in 1946. In 1949 she moved to Hayward, CA where she lived until moving to Charleston in 1972. She was of Protestant faith.

On March 20, 1938 she married Albert Zachary Holt who preceded her in death in October 1982.

Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Larry and Elaine Holt of Escalon, CA; one sister and brother in law, Bobbye and Bill Chambers of Charleston; five grandchildren, Larry Troy Holt, Lorri Holt Cutler, Lisa Holt, Richard Forbey Jr., and Ross Forbey; six great grandchildren;one great great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann Holt Forbey; three brothers, Bill Scott, Amos Scott, and Troy Scott; and one sister, Carletta Dunham.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Jim Malugen, pastor of the First Christian Church in Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Larry Troy Holt, Richard Forbey, Ross Forbey, her nephews, Kevin Chambers, and Clay Scott, and her great nephew, Bleve Willoughby.
