Jeffrey L. Brashear

Jeffrey Lee Brashear, age 62, of Benton, MO, formerly of Sikeston, MO, died Monday, May 25, 2026, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born August 8, 1963, in Sikeston, MO, to Herman Eugene Brashear and Emma Jane Bolin Brashear Taylor, he was a 1981 graduate of Sikeston High School and a member of Heartland Harvest Church of God of Prophecy. Having lived in Sikeston and later Benton, he was employed as a commercial truck driver until ill health forced his retirement.

Surviving is his mother Emma Jane Taylor; his brothers, Gene Brashear, Mike Brashear, Timothy Brashear and Jason Brashear, his step brother, Brian Everett Taylor; also, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nephews, Steven Brashear and Jaxon Brashear and his step father, Everett P. Taylor.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. His uncle, Calvin Bolin and Pastor Todd Crumley, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Brashear, Tre Brashear, David Brashear, Jeremy McDonald, Nick Childers and Henry Norris.
