JEFFREY ALLEN "Smiley" GROVES, 55, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.

He was born February 9, 1966, at Sikeston, MO, to the late A.J. Groves, Jr., and Helen Kathleen George Groves Sweet. He grew up in Bertrand but had lived in East Prairie the past few years.  He had farmed a number of years.

In 1988, he married Patricia Ann Johnson, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his children, Jeffery Allen Groves, II, Brittany Groves and Brandon Groves; his brothers and sisters, Bruce, Martha Ann, Karen and Janet; 6 grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time for services at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2021, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Private burial will follow.
