JERALD FRANCIS
JOHN JERALD FRANCIS, AGE 77, formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at his home in Scott City.
Born March 16, 1941, at Charleston, MO, to the late John Jefferson Francis and Gladys Allene Skinner Francis, he had lived in Charleston a number of years before moving to Scott City. He had been employed as a deckhand and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Sullivan of Wickliffe, KY; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Allen Francis and two brothers, Billy Don Francis and Dennis Francis.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the McMikle Funeral Home. Rev. Dean Wallace, will officiate.
Interment will follow with full military rites in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Chapman, Josh Payne, Rex Wilburn, Clayton Spaulding, Jonah Ashworth, Bob Morgan, Trevor Wilburn and Cody Francis.
