Jeremy Don Taylor, son of Florene Jinks Mayfield of Rolla, Mo and the late Johnny Don "Don" Nelson, was born December 30, 1971, at Lebanon, MO and departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025, at his residence in Bertrand, MO, at the age of 53.

Jeremy was a lifelong coon hunter and hounds man. He was a member of the Coon Hunters Association, UKC, and PKC.  He dedicated a lot of his time to running the PKC circuits, numerous UKC hunts and shows with several types of coon hounds.  He also dedicated a lot of his time in later years working on his breeding program where he bred and raised several dual purpose hounds.  Jeremy took a lot of pride in his hounds.  He also had several hobbies including helping build racecars with his adopted dad, Jack, fishing, all types of hunting, and rebuilding boats. He enjoyed making those around him laugh and going out of his way to help others.  He was an amazing friend and "brother" to those around him.

On July 31, 2021, he married the love of his life, Megan Jolie Shoumaker, who survives.  Also surviving is his stepson, Preston Ogg of Bertrand as well as his beloved dogs.

Surviving besides his mother is his adopted dad, Jack (Kathy) Taylor of Ozark, MO, sisters, Lora Dawn and Sandy Dawn, his daughter, Hannah Taylor, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Private burial will be held.
