JERRY DON GROGAN, age 76, of Charleston, died Friday, January 17, 2020, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born December 19, 1943, at Dorena, MO, to the late Edward Simon "Bob" Grogan and Lola Margaret "Sis' Brown Grogan, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life. As a young man, he worked in the timber business with his father and went on to work with his brother, J.W. Grogan, in the construction business. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter and participated in teaching the Hunter Education classes to young hunters for a number of years. He was a retired member of the Missouri National Guard.

On August 16, 1968, he married Donna Jean Hollingsworth, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are his daughter, Dawn Grogan of Charleston; his grandchildren, J.J. Grogan, Jordy Collins and Cody Collins; his brothers, J.W. Grogan of East Prairie and Randy Grogan of rural Sikeston; his sisters, Joyce Ann Ellis of Birch Tree; Nellie Oliver of Charleston; Brenda Oatsvall and Shirley Sue Brown both of East Prairie and Edna Bass of Poplar Bluff; also a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Donnie Grogan and John Grogan; his daughter, Shawna Collins and his brother, Tommy Gene Grogan.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Cremation will follow.
