JERRY LEE HAILEY, JR. age 53, formerly of Charleston, died October 30, 2021, at his home in Morehouse.

He was born August 13, 1968, at Sikeston, to Barbara Kay Brown who survives of Sikeston and the late Jerry Lee Hailey, Sr.  He grew up in the Charleston area and had worked as truck driver and farmer employee.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Celeste Hailey, Mark Gore, Chloe Dozier and Sonny Dock; his brothers Jeffery Scott Hailey and Mike Hailey; his sisters, Angel Renee Gardner and Carol Christine Hailey; his stepfather, Kinnie Burgess; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Stephen Hailey; his grandparents, J.D. and Betty Donaldson Brown and Jack and Evelyn Cox Hailey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
