Obituary

JERRY LEE KNUPP, "Uncle J.J.", entered Heaven's gates on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born March 23, 1937, in Anniston, MO, to the late Ira Alexander Knupp and Pearl Jane Pullum Knupp.   He was united in marriage to Martha Jean Carter on April 21, 1964, and she survives of the home.

He loved fishing and could be found tinkering in his yard on old scrap metal.   Jerry took up carpentry work, construction work, and other various jobs throughout his young adult life before his earthly retirement due to illness.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he leaves to cherish his memories:  one daughter, Shiela (William) Groves of Sikeston; one son, Troy (Jackie) Knupp of East Prairie; six grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Knupp Coleman of Charleston; one brother, James "Troubles" Knupp of Anniston and a host of family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was welcomed into his forever home by two sisters, three brothers, and one great great granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.   His daughter, Minister Shiela Groves and Pastor Jimmy Allen, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Harold Tatum, Kenneth Knupp, Berry Knupp, Shawn Knupp, Jimmy Knupp, Marvin Knupp and Larry Frederich.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carrie Tatum, Casey Tatum, Jamie Tatum, Troy Knupp, Jackie Knupp, Jessica Housman, Brian Spicer, Mandy Knupp and Kevin Lee.

The family would like to personally thank Kevin Lee and Judy Tatum for their years of help, love and support to Jerry and his wife, Martha,  and also the nieces and nephews that have helped maintain the home and property when he was no longer able.  The family appreciates all of those who were helping hands.
