JIMMIE LEANDER CLARK, age 65, of East Prairie, died Friday, May 7, 2021, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born August 31, 1955, at Cairo, IL, to the late Paul Clark, Sr., and Christine Jimmie Johnson Clark; he was the fifth of eight children born to this union.  He professed a hope in Christ at an early age.   He attended Lovejoy Public School in Mound City, IL and had worked in Chicago before returning to East Prairie, MO, to live with his family.

He was united in marriage to Ernestine Ward Clark.  Jimmie Lee was known by many.  He was the type of person that people enjoyed being around.  He was full of life, and those who knew him he made you laugh and smile. There was never a dull moment in his presence.  He is going to be missed by so many in the community of Mound City, IL and the City of East Prairie, MO.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and his sister, Viola (Chubby) Hopkins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Myron Clark of Cairo, IL and Paul Clark, Jr. of Cairo, IL; four sisters, Paulette Pearson of Waterloo, IA; Lillie (William) Lovies of Mounds, IL; Anita Hinds of Mounds City, IL and Marietta Clark of Murphysboro, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no services.
