Jimmy Glen Ring, 62, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his home in Sikeston. He was born September 19, 1955 in Odessa, Texas to the late Marlin and Roberta (Wait) Ring. A resident of Sikeston the past 16 years, he was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ; prior to that he had resided in Austin, Texas and had been employed by the Delta-O Co. as an insulator/asbestos remover. On June 20, 2003 he was married to Darlene (Taylor) Bewley Lindsey in Scott Co. and she survives of the home. Also surviving are two sons: Jared & Deanna Ring of Midland, Texas and Trevor Shay and Amanda Ring of Lampasas, Texas; 1 daughter, Melea and Scott Butler of Lampasas; 1 step-son, Brad Lindsey and 1 step-daughter, Melissa Jobe both of Sikeston; 2 brothers, Charles & Melanie Ring of Austin and Ray Ring of Sikeston; and 1 sister, Amy Ring of St. Louis. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 3, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Jerry Barber, minister at Shady Acres Church of Christ will officiate and burial will follow at Matthews City Cemetery.
