JAMES KENNETH 'JIMMY' WEAKLEY, age 64, a resident of East Prairie, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 2, 1955, at Cairo, IL, to Charles Arthur and Mary Virginia Ledbetter Weakley, he had lived in East Prairie for over 35 years where he was a member of the First General Baptist Church. He had been employed with Stark Manufacturing in Charleston until its closing and then became the manager of the meat department at Town and Country Supermarket in East Prairie.
On October 6, 1984, he married Linda Johnson who survives of the home.
Also surviving are his children, Jody (Tracy) Latamondeer and Robin (Dale) Hedges all of East Prairie; his sister, Linda Sue Sparks of Sikeston; his grandchildren were his pride and joy, Ashleigh and Brandon Gaddy of East Prairie; Jacob and Penny Latamondeer of Peppertown, MS; Taylor and Larry Bailey of Charleston; Amber and Travis Stone of Gosnell, AR; Sarah, Megan, Evail and Luke Latomondeer all of East Prairie; great grandchildren, Braylynne Gaddy, Bradley Carden, Toby House, Ashdon Gaddy all of East Prairie and Rilynn Latamondeer of Gosnell, AR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Weakley, Jerry Weakley, Donald Weakley, David Weakley and Harvey Weakley and his sisters Carla Walker and Mary Charlene Weakley.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the First General Baptist Church in East Prairie. Martin Lucas, will officiate.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
