Elizabeth D. "Jo" (Jones) Robertson Coffman, 77, a long-time resident of Matthews, died Saturday, June 17, at the home of her daughter in East Prairie. She was born June 20, 1939 at Hohenwald, Tennessee to the late Frank H. Jones and Mary Vera (James) Hensley Jones Thomas. Jo was a member of Cornerstone Church in Bertrand and had been a teacher at Sikeston Head Start for over 20 years, retiring in 1998. She and her husband Leo then owned and operated E J Pilot Escort Service until his death in 2011. She was first married April 5, 1955 to Floyd R. Robertson and he preceded her in death Jan. 21, 1996. She was then married to Howard "Leo" Coffman November 20, 1997 and he preceded in death Aug. 24, 2011. She is survived by 1 son, Michael Robertson of Matthews; 3 daughters; Kay & Sherman Mims of Hernando, Ms.; Amanda & Darryl Bratton of East Prairie and Amy Givens of East Prairie; 1 step-daughter, Robyn & David Gore of Ellington; 1 sister, Frankie Hicks of Sikeston and 10 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Besides her husbands and parents, she was also death by 1 son, Rickie Robertson, 1 son-in-law, Micah Givens, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm Monday. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am Tuesday, with Rev. Brian Abbott, Pastor of Dogwood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Matthews City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Robertson, Sherman Mims, Darryl Bratton, Peyton Givens, Justin Poley, Dustin Poley and Field LaPlant.
