Joseph Lee "JoJo" Dorris was born on October 30, 1987 and left this earth at the age of 34 years old on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Though he left us far too soon, he left us all as better people having known him. Joey had a great love for life and adventure; he always lived on the wild side. There wasn't a challenge he would turn down. His passion was flying airplanes and riding four wheelers and motorcycles.

Joey had the biggest heart. He loved his family and friends so much and enjoyed spending time with them. Joey never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.

Joey leaves behind his children, Bailey Eastman, Kohlton Dorris, Preston Dorris and Tylee Dorris; father and step mother, Stanley and Sarah Dorris; grandmother, who he loved like a mother, Shelby Holmes; mother, Dawn Kasza; sister and brother in law, Stephanie and Ras Brantley; brother, Clayton Dorris; niece, Karter Brantley; daughter of the heart, Trinky Haddock; many aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends that he considered family.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Family and friends may then assemble for graveside  services at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the Dogwood Cemetery.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Dustin Bone, Boyd Thompson, Wayne Sprouse, Mike Owens, Jr., Jordan Smoot and Scott Riggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kohlton Dorris, Preston Dorris and Ras Brantley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards Joey's funeral services.
