Joey Duenne

Herman Joseph "Joey" Duenne, age 63, of Charleston, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born April 11, 1959, at Cairo, IL, to the late Herman and Helen Faust Duenne. He farmed his whole life in the Texas Bend Community and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

On September 27, 2004, he married Lisa Bellamey, who survives of the home.

Also, surviving are his children, Adam (Stacey) Whiteside and Jessica (Robin) Zickgraf; his brothers, John Henry (Sallie) Duenne, Alan Dale (Angie) Duenne, Albert Duenne and Mark (Julie) Duenne; his sisters, Mary Helen (Bert) Johnson, Theresa (David) Griggs, Patty Duenne and Melissa (Lester) Cockrum; 5 grandchildren; a special aunt, Ruth Duenne; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant sister, Helen Catherine Duenne.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time for the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston. Rev. David Dohogne, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Texas Bend Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Andrew French, Jeff Butler, John Bledsoe, Bert Johnson, Andy Bryant and Tommy Showmaker.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Renaud, Dan Duenne, Mike Duenne, Gerard Dirnberger and Joe Dirnberger.
