Obituary
JOHN R. DICKERSON, age 43, a resident of Bertrand died at 9:10 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 12, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA to Sue Peyton Dickerson who survives of Bertrand, and the late James Clay Dickerson, he moved to southeast Missouri in 1989 and had lived in Bertrand since 1990. He was employed at Cheers in Sikeston until ill health forced his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
On May 1, 2008 he married Heather Martin who survives of the home.
Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth Dickerson who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Alaska, C.J. Dickerson of Scott City, and Jacob Harris of Bertrand; two brothers, James D. Dickerson of Louisville, KY and Darrell Keith Dickerson of Powderly, TX; three sisters, Sharlene Frazier of Louisville, KY, Carol Love of St. Louis, and Sharla Purdie of Bertrand; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
One brother, Clifton Dickerson, preceded him in death.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Bertrand. Rev. Ron Aldridge, Pastor, will officiate.
