JOHN WESLEY "JOHNNY" JACKSON, age 49, a resident of Hickory, NC formerly of Charleston, died at 12:52 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.
He was born February 28, 1961, in Cairo, IL to the late Albert V. and Ruth Jane Vaughn Jackson. He grew up in Charleston, moved to Houston, TX in 1977, then to Springfield, MO before moving to Cape Girardeau in the early 1980's where he was trained to be a sheet metal worker and employed with Robinson Construction Company. He was employed in commercial construction in St. Louis at the time of his death.
In 1996 he married Denise Hildebran who survives of the home.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jill Jackson of Black Canyon City, AZ; five sons, Taylor Jackson of Matthews, NC, John Wesley Jackson Jr. and Christopher Jackson both of Springfield, and Christian Jackson and Chandler Jackson both of Hickory, NC; four brothers and two sisters in law, Howard and Betty Jackson and Kenneth Jackson all of Sikeston, Albert and Janet Jackson of Grand Rivers, KY and Jesse Jackson of Greenville, NC; one sister and brother in law, Carol Ann and James Belk of East Prairie.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the Funeral Hour at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Manny Alvarado, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in East Prairie, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Logan Gilmore, Dustin Allen, Jimmy Allen Jr., Mitch Pullen, Scott Jackson, Jared Jackson, and Jody Jackson.
