John "Johnny" Schneider, 72 of Anna, IL, formerly of Charleston, MO passed away on April 11, 2025, at SIH Hospital in Carbondale, IL.

He was born on April 25, 1952, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, IL to John Arnold Schneider and Jewel (Holmes) Schneider.  He graduated from Shawnee Century High School, Ullin, IL in 1970.

He married Darlene (Hammer) on May 29, 1975, in Cairo, IL.

He owned and operated Schneider Professional Janitorial Co. where he serviced Southern 7 IL Health Dept.,  doctor's offices, restaurants and many local businesses throughout Southern IL and Southeast MO.

Johnny is survived by his wife Darlene Schneider of 50 years, 3 stepchildren:  Paula (Joel) Doolin of Colorado, Beth Stell of Jonesboro, IL, Tracey Bramlett of Anna, IL, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a large and loving extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Illinois and Missouri.

Preceding him in death were in parents and Beloved Son Johnny A. Schneider.

Johnny will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need.  He touched the lives of many with his warmth, compassion and infectious smile and laughter.  His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Murphysboro Event Center, 1329 Walnut Street in Murphysboro, IL  on June 7th, 2025, with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. and Service at 1:00 P.M.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, IL.
