Obituary

JOHN CALMORE STALLINGS, II, 72, of Charleston, died Friday, June 5, 2020, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 11, 1948, at Cairo, IL, to the late John Calmore Stallings and Eva Mae Mayo Stallings, he had lived in Charleston most of his life where he had been a farmer and land owner.   He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion and the Charleston Lions Club.

In 1971, he married Patricia Stockman, who preceded him in death in 2001.

Surviving are his son, John Calmore Stallings, III, of Charleston; and grandson, John Dalton Stallings.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Jean Stallings and Virginia Nell Newcomb and his brother, Robert Preston Stallings.

Private graveside services will be held at the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston at a later date.
