Obituary
JONNIE HEGGIE MEHLER, age 97, a resident of Southaven, MS formerly of Charleston, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at Hermitage Gardens Care Center in Southaven MS.
She was born October 14, 1917 in Charleston, MO to the late John P. and Lillian Connelly Heggie. She moved to Southaven, MS in 1963 where she was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
On January 14, 1937 she married Clifford G. Mehler who preceded her in death April 28, 1983.
Surviving are three sons, Clifford (Sandra) Mehler Jr. and Fred (Jerebeth) Mehler both of Southaven, MS and John (Jennie) Mehler of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Suzanne (Johnny) O'Daniel of Olive Branch, MS and Sharon (Greg) Smith of Conway, AR; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Brett Mehler, and four sisters, Ruth Ellen "Jake" Heggie, Mary Rolwing, Martha Heggie, and Virginia Hill.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Rev. David Collum, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Services under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
