JOSEPH ANDREW ELARDI, age 68, of Charleston, MO, died Saturday, November 21, 2020 at is home.

He was born July 21, 1952, to Joseph N. Elardi and Mary Agnes Elardi in Chicago Heights, IL. Joseph joined the Marines when he was 20 and was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal and the Rifle Marksmen Badge. When Joseph left the Marines in 1978m he began driving a semi-truck for Scheiders, from where we retired, and became the local carpenter in Charleston. Joseph also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his six daughters, Shannon (Joe) Porter of Chicago Heights, IL, Kristy Murphy of Crown Point, IN, Melissa Elardi and Rebecca (Brandi Stien) Elardi of Murphysboro, IL, Crystal (Ryan) Crenshaw of St. Louis, MO, and Christy Jackson of Charleston, MO. He also has one son, Damon Jackson of Charleston, MO. Also, he left behind a host of grandchildren. Joseph also left behind some special friends, Marshall Gerald and Cornell Cassell. Joseph sadly leaves behind his one true soul mate of 30 years, Ella Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sylvia Elardi.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until noon, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Private burial will be at a later date.
