Obituary

JOSEPH DANIEL KESSELRING, age 51, a resident of Charleston died Monday, August 13, 2012 near Charleston.

He was born June 7, 1961 in Bonne Terre, MO to Joseph John Kesselring who survives of Potosi and Roddie Marcella McClain Vavak who survives of Arnold. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Central Methodist College in Fayette and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. He was hired by the Charleston R1 School District on August 1, 1987 as a High School Social Studies Teacher and Assistant Football Coach and currently held the position of Middle School Principal. During his tenure in the district he had also held the following positions: Head Track Coach, Head Football Coach, Athletic Director, Middle School Assistant Football Coach, Middle School Head Football Coach, and Middle School Assistant Principal. He previously taught at Camdenton High School for 2 years and at Central Methodist College for 1 year before moving to Charleston. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Arkansas Razorback fan.

On December 8, 1990 he married Sarah Ellen Feezor who survives of the home.

Also surviving are one daughter, Savannah Elizabeth Kesselring and one son, Joseph William "Seph" Kesselring both of the home; two sisters, Tracy White of Imperial and Mindy Kesselring of Potosi; and his step father, Steve Cook of Arnold; and his step mother, Peggy Kesselring of Potosi.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the John Harris Marshall Athletic Complex in Charleston. Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate and Joe Forrest, former Charleston R1 School District Superintendent, will serve as Eulogist.

Private Interment will be held.
