JOSEPH PARKER RILEY, age 67, a resident of Matthews, MO and formerly of Owensboro, Kentucky, died Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Cotton Point Living Center in Matthews, MO.

He was born March 26, 1956, in Owensboro, KY, the late Joseph Tutt and Laura Eura Riley Barnes.   Joseph attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and later worked for the City of Owensboro, KY until ill health forced his retirement.  He was a member of the Sweeney Street Missionary Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY.

He is survived by his daughter, Shantez Riley of Paducah, KY, two sisters: Gloria Kelsey of Owensboro, KY and Rebecca Jane Taylor of Youngstown, OH, one brother, Maxie Riley of Louisville, KY and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Maxie Barnes, a brother, Franklin Marion Riley and a sister, Thessalonian Mundy.

Services will be at the Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro, Kentucky with all arrangements made by McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
