Joseph J. Sauceda, Jr., age 62, of Sikeston, died Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born October 25, 1961, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Joseph J. Sauceda, Sr., and Sophia Martinez, and had lived in Oran a number of years before moving to Sikeston 20 years ago.  He had been employed with Dollins Grain Bin Construction Company.

On July 3, 1992, he married Darcee Ackley, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his children, Joseph J. Sauceda, III, Dominic Sauceda, Andrew Sauceda, Elizabeth (Bryce) Wehrle and Jacquelyn Sauceda; his grandchildren, Ember, Sylace and Cameron; his brothers and sisters, Robert Guzman, Danny Sauceda, Johnny Sauceda, Mary Berry and Juanita Sauceda; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Gabriel Cameron "Gabe" Sauceda; his granddaughter, Tayliss; and his brothers and sisters, Rudy Martinez, Mikey Sauceda, Anthony Sauceda and Ellie Sauceda.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.  Rev. Billy Davis will officiate.
