Joyce Brown Branam, age 77, died Monday, January 13, 2025, at her home in Dogwood, MO, surrounded by her family.

Born June 30, 1947, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Charles William Brown and Vivian Laverne Matthews Brown, she had lived in East Prairie and then later in the Dogwood Community her entire life.  For a number of years, she was employed at East Prairie Nursing Home and later the Bertrand Nursing Center until her retirement.  She was a longtime member of the Gospel Assembly Church in East Prairie until it's closing.

On October 21, 1967, she married Ira Odell Branam, who preceded her in death May 12, 2020.

Survivors include her son, Scott Branam of Sikeston; her daughters, Tammy Lynn Branam and Tonya Rene' (Michael) Marks both of Dogwood; her grandchildren, Bryant (Haley) Branam, Brooklyne (Parker) Williams, Hannah Linley, Taylor (Mallory) Marks, James Linley and Emmy Lou Marks; two great grandchildren, Winter and Ellie; her sisters, Patricia Vance of East Prairie, Susie (Tom) Taylor of Sikeston and Cheryl (Bill) McCutchen of Benton, MO; also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins, she loved dearly.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Brown, Larry Eugene Brown and David "Slick" Brown and her sisters, Carol Rayburn, Martha Jane Brown and Linda Gail Brown.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025.  Jack Hendrix will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
