Joyce Geneen "Joy" Carlberg, age 67, of East Prairie, died Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the Regional One Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Born March 23, 1955, at El Paso, TX, to the late Billy Joe Livengood and to Gloria Belle Boyer Atherley who survives, she had lived in East Prairie the past several years. She had worked in the healthcare field and loved helping people.  She was an avid dancer and loved to sing karaoke.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her grandchildren, Stephen James Monarch and Colton Lightfoot; great granddaughter, Lilly Jacqueline Monarch; her sisters, Randi Jo McKnight and Lori Prentice; and several other family members.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert James Lightfoot  and her brother, James (Jerry) Livengood.

Services will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
