Joyce L. Bowien Golightly, age 66, of Sikeston, died Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Westfield Nursing Center near Sikeston.

She was born July 30, 1955, at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, to the late Melvin Bowien and Joyce Jordan. Joyce was a CNA and worked at Cypress Point in Dexter. She was also a manager at Flying J Travel Center for 20 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3838. Joyce loved to be outside; camping, fishing, cooking and just being adventurous. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed going to the Church of Christ in Dexter.

Surviving are her children, Regina (David) Head of Benton, MO; Dana (Darren) Billderback of Dexter, MO and Lucas (April) Oliver of Dexter, MO; her siblings, Robin Hill, Marilyn Gray, James Bowien, Cindy Armstrong, Anita Evans, Vicky Stroud and Karen Fowler; her grandchildren, Paige, Logan, Jayden, Anthony, Andrew, Hannah, Remington, Dixie and Cody; her great grandchildren, Aleah, Caysen, Brentley, Mason and one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Ogden and Ken Bowien.

Private family services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
